Chris Taylor and Microsoft announce the official development of Age of Empires Online:

"As some have speculated, we have a very large and very exciting project in the works, and we can finally let everyone in on our secret! We’re happy to announce “officially” that we’re teaming up with Microsoft on the development and launch of “Age of Empires Online” this year.

We’re all huge fans of the “Age of Empires” franchise and the work both Microsoft and Robot Entertainment have done with “Age of Empires Online” thus far. We’re very excited to be back working with Microsoft again and to be partnering on what we believe will be one of the best games in the franchise."

Square Enix announces development of Dungeon Siege 3 has begun.

Square Enix and Gas Powered Games are excited to announce a strategic partnership, and that development has started on Supreme Commander 2.

Square Enix is best known for its Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series of games.

We're not releasing any details about features, supported platforms, or the ship date for Supreme Commander 2 at this time.
